Miranda Kerr (born April 20, 1985) is an Australian model perhaps best known as the face of Australian fashion-chain Portmans and as the first Australian model to represent giant Victoria's Secret.

Kerr was born in Sydney, Australia and raised in the smaller town of Gunnedah. She is the eldest child of Therese and John Kerr, and has a younger brother named Matthew. She was educated at All Hallows in Brisbane, which is an all-girl Catholic high school.

Entering and winning the Dolly/Impulse Covergirl Competition in 1997, started Kerr's modeling career. But it was in 2003, after Kerr completed her schooling that she went into full time modeling. She signed a modelling contract with Melbourne's Chadwick agency, followed by Sydney's Chic agency.
